Below are a few of the comments we have received from the parents of our patients:
Just wanted to let you know how happy and pleased I am that I found your place for Jack. From the initial phone contact with Jane, who is always so nice to speak to, to Jacks first evaluations by the therapists, I have nothing but good things to say!! It is difficult to have a child with special needs and all of the girls there make it such a pleasure to bring Jack. At first, I was hesitant about coming because the ride is kind of long, but it is so worth it. Jill is always so caring and sweet with Jack and he is making such strides. Gwynn is a terrific speech pathologist and really knows how to work with Jack. His speech is actually somewhat intelligible now, which makes me so happy. Tara, also is such a nice person and is really great with Jack. Also the office staff at night is always pleasant. Again, thank you all for being so wonderful. It means more than you know "
Wow, what an amazing place!! I am truly happy to have found Abilities in Action for my son, Nicholas. Nicholas was born with Down syndrome and immediately needed support with motor delays. As he aged, he needed more services and people who were willing to entice him to work harder. It was not an easy road for Nicholas, but when we first walked into this place I knew he was happy and ready to learn. The resources and various activities that were available for him excited me as I watched him smile. The therapists made it easy to feel comfortable because they were enthusiastic. The owners, support staff and the therapists are so helpful and thrilled to be working with my son, which makes me feel special. The minute I walked in the door I knew this was the place for Nicholas. Everyone greeted us with a smile and was optimistic in helping my son reach his goals. No challenge is too difficult for anyone here. I truly recommend without any reservation this facility for any family. Thank you for making this transition easy and hopeful. Thank you for helping my son reach developmental milestones. I will forever appreciate your kindness.
My son has been coming to your facility since he was 18 months old. Words can't describe the gratitude my family and I feel for your entire office and especially for his therapists. Ryan has a congenital heart defect and has had 3 open-heart surgeries. Ryan has seen many different therapists in your office and they have all worked so hard to make him as strong as he is. Thank you so much for your facility. It has enabled my son to live a normal life. You are all special angels doing wonderful things for every child that walks through your doors.
Only positive experiences across the board. Having a standing appointment with a young child is the best. There have never been insurance/billing issues. We've been welcomed to take a fill in appointment when our regular appointment falls on a holiday. I have nothing but great things to say about your business!
My daughter is always very excited to come to OT. Melissa really cares about her and makes each activity she does fun, individualized, and creative. She always gives us ways to help carryover the exercises/activities at home. Overall, I think Abilities in Action is a great place. I would highly recommend it to others.
Everyone has been wonderful with scheduling and verifying insurance benefits. The staff is incredibly pleasant and welcoming.
Abby is a totally different child then when she started in October of 2015. Can't wait to see what lies ahead for us!
Kim is AMAZING! She not only listens to my concerns; she always has suggestions for me on how I can help my child!
My daughter's therapist is wonderful. My daughter's speech has vastly improved since starting therapy with Karen.
We are very happy with Keri and we appreciate her dedication to our son and his needs.
(My child's therapist) is so calming and confident that it put me at ease.
Always happy to answer questions and have a smile on their face.
Miss Sara is very caring and provides information about the session. I can tell she has a genuine interest in my child.
Therese is excellent at listing to my concerns, incorporating them into her plans and reporting back on what works well.
We love Abilities in Action. All of our experiences have been excellent and exceed our expectations.
She is very good at communicating and good above and beyond to help me and my son!
I am so happy with our experience with Abilities in Action! I've seen great improvements in my child.
We love being able to be consistent at home. She's given us some really great ideas to make life at home easier.
Karen is amazing. We have seen a great improvement in James. James loves his time with Karen and is excited to go every week.
So much improvement in sensory areas!
In our 5 years with you we have never had to wage a battle unsuccessfully thanks to your guidance and support.
I can't say enough great things about Abilities in Action. I have recommended them to friends and family multiple times already. It is truly an amazing place.
Having two children in Abilities in Action and finding them superior to other locations. I definitely feel your company hires the best that genuinely love their clients and want these kids to overcome challenges. We wouldn't go and we would never recommend any other facility.
Always helpful and friendly. Always open to assisting me with any questions and very personable.
The front office is incredibly cheerful and very helpful. Always an easy experience!
The front office staff is amazing. Always smiling, kind and eager to help. I have never met a group of people so willing to go the extra mile to make sure my child has what he
They are very professional and always on the ball. They are very kind and accommodating.
Karen is very knowledgeable and empathetic. She is able to explain things in a way we find understandable considerate.
The girls at the front desk are amazing and have helped me so much with my insurance practice
Excellent. Very caring and efficient. Quick follow up
They are wonderful and helpful in scheduling and dealing with insurance issues. They are so polite and respectful and full of knowledge!
The front office is the best! They were incredibly accommodating of my work schedule in getting my son on the schedule, know my insurance benefits better than I do and are great about reminding parents of scheduling changes. They are also very friendly and really helped put me at ease from the beginning.
You have truly created an powering community.
The behind the scenes work that happens is pure magic. I belong to a ton of online support groups and I often can not relate to the "paper work" struggles faced by so many. "I always pay tribute to the team at Abilities in Action who take on the hardest fights for us. It is beyond a service, it is a nod to how hard our battles are in our own everyday lives with our children in our society. You acknowledge this and then do something to lighten our burden. You take on the insurance fight with us and often for us.
I'm usually not the one who brings my daughter to therapy (my parents do). Every now and then when my daughter has a particular good day (or achieves a new goal), Kim reaches out to me and gives me some direct feedback. It is always a wonderful gift to receive. Having a special needs child with a medical condition is difficult. It is the small strides that we hang on to and it is wonderful to hear positive things. I really appreciate the extra effort and kindness.
The way the front office handles everything with insurance and scheduling is amazing. I always tell people how professional this establishment is.
They make every step easy and comfortable.
Karen is empathetic and considerate and an absolute pleasure to work with. My daughter is so excited as soon as she walks through the door. She runs to Karen with a hug and is so joyful in her presence. This is her first time of separation from me and I am so reassured every time I see not only her joy around Karen but the progress they have made.
Alissa is wonderful- she's there to answer any questions or concerns I may have.
My son really enjoys coming here. He goes for both occupational therapy and speech. We are very pleased with both services provided as we have seen tremendous growth. Thank you so much.
My daughter would not be eating as much as she is if it was not for Gwynn!
Benita always has great suggestions for any concerns I bring up. She is very supportive and easy to talk to. My daughter adores her!
My daughter has learned techniques to deal with her disfluency, and I see her using those techniques at home.
We have had nothing but a great experience with Jodi, the front desk and administrative staff. Thank you for caring so deeply about our children and their wellbeing!
Please just keep doing what you are doing. Your therapists are phenomenal and they love my daughters. Your front office staff is fantastic and will help with insurance and scheduling to our children's benefit. We wouldn't go anywhere else and we wouldn't recommend anywhere else, but Abilities in Action.
We have had a great experience with Abilities in Action. Alex has been fantastic listening to our goals, concerns, and working with Ryan. He loves his time with her and I am confident that we are helping him.
I am an OT myself and this experience has been so beneficial for my son and our family. Ali is always available for questions, provides us with a lot of resources and definitely goes above and beyond to reach out to all aspects of my son's life!
