Tracy L. Powers, R.D.
Tracy's background includes more than 9 years of experiece as a pediatric, clinical and outpatient Registered Dietician. Tracy provides clinical assessment and outpatient instruction to children and their families, from newborn to young adults. Through her work experience, she has become well-informed and experienced at providing nutrition therapy to a variety of children and families. She is experienced in feeding problems, developmental concerns, and physiological conditions that may lead to poor nutrition.
Tracy worked at the Cystic Fibrosis Center at MMC for 6 years, providing nutrition therapy to patients and families. This experience allowed Tracy to gain a strong background in treating lack of weight gain (FTT), picky eaters, feeding/ swallowing difficulties, and vitamin & mineral deficiency and supplementation.
Tracy graduated in 1997 from Cook College, Rutgers University, with a B.S. in Nutrition Science. She went on to complete a Dietetic Internship at New York Cornell Medical Center. She has since gained most of her professional experience at Monmouth Medical Center and Jersey Shore University Medical Center Pediatric Hospitals. She pursuing her masters degree and has completed master level pediatric nutrition courses at UMDNJ. She also continues to attend continuing education conferences and lectures to further her knowledge in nutrition and pediatrics.
